About The Executive Committee
Several years ago whilst trying to obtain charitable
status for Twenties, Thirties, Forties, we were fortunate to be kindly offered such status
under the Mission in Hounslow Trust, as part of their evangelism programme.
This meant that we were able to set up a separate 'group' account which would
operate to 'oversee' the local area groups. It also meant that if in addition we
were able to receive funding or regular giving, we could claim the tax back
(which is of course a massive help).
To help administer the group account (the charitable status applies to the group
only), we decided to set up an 'executive committee' which would be responsible
for looking after this account, act as accountability for the group co-ordinator
and be responsible for all future group planning, administration and
development.
The executive committee meet at least four times a year and the group
co-ordinator is invited along to attend these meetings.
Over the years the executive committee has been responsible for many new
initiatives, including producing a handbook, website, and more recently, our
first international prayer day and 'our day', as well as performing the other
duties required, including secretarial and financial.
The current committee are made up of:
