Twenties, Thirties, Forties : Kent
Introduction
The Kent group was our fourth area group (starting life as Medway) and held its first event in October 1998, with a Disco. This area group is currently made up of 17 different churches from various denominations.Area co-ordinator: Doug O'Brien
My involvement with Twenties, Thirties, Forties started several years ago through the London & South East Group – and subsequently involved organising and co-ordinating events in this area with the help of local rep’s. The main objective for our group is to give the opportunity for those in Churches without a specific social network, the chance to share with like-minded people, and expand their social group of friends.I live in Bromley, Kent - which will be central to the new County group arrangement being installed in Twenties, Thirties, Forties. My business interests are in finance, and am an Independent Financial Adviser, having worked in this sector during my career.
Socially, I have a variety of sporting interests ranging from racket sports & running; through to water sports and skiing. I am also involved in running a Men’s group at my Baptist Church, have a background in heading up youth work, act for Christian holiday Companies as a Rep, & will now be acting on the Exec. Committee.
We currently have contacts in this area covering the following churches:
