Concerts for all ages

Review
Following the great success, after taking the massive step of faith to host The Cannon & Ball Gospel Show in 1995, we kind of knew that this was only going to be the beginning and not the end. After filling the local leisure centre with just under 800 people for the first event, we ended that year with a Noel Richards concert which attracted over 850 people! Although we didn't particular go out of our way after that, a number of All Age events followed. We again hosted Noel and his band in Slough in 96, along with Delirious (for the first of three) and ending the year with Chris Bowater and Johnny Markin. Also during this year we sold and organised 600 people to attend the 'Champion' event at Wembley Arena. In May 97, we hosted Adrian Plass with Phil & John, which we had booked a year earlier! A month later we sold 900 tickets and took 13 coaches - for which we received a personal trophy from Noel - to be part of Wembley Stadium and the 40,000 other worshippers. Another month later and we were to host the second of three local Delirious gigs, which in total attracted around 3,000. There was no let up in 98, which saw another four large scale events. City of Gold was the brand new musical written by Phil (of Phil & John), we also hosted the first of two visits from Martyn Joseph and Chris Bowater, along with Johnny Markin, and welcomed Rob Lacey back again. We kept up the pace in 99, with another four events, including Shipwrecks & Islands (the follow up to City of Gold) and comedian from Radio 2 Milton Jones along wit old friend Rob Lacey (before he was famous!). Another three events in 2000 saw the return of both Noel and Milton, as well as a visit from Ian White. In 2001 we had another visit from the very popular Milton and hosted Still Small Voice (the third production after City and Shipwrecks). To celebrate our ten years we booked Radio 2's Janey Lee Grace (Steve Wright in the afternoon) who shared both her Radio experiences (including a few secrets) and her early singing career which included being a backing singer with Wham when they became the first pop band to tour the China. She also entertained us with her singing (as well as being a backing singer, she also had her own chart success years before). We also managed to pull off a bit of a scoop by pairing both Tim Vine (from T.V.'s BAFTA award winning series 'The Sketch Show' with one of the writers of that show, - a magician/comedian in his own right, John Archer. To complete ten years of All Age events, we welcomed back, in 2004, Milton Jones, who again joined us in 2005, along with Steve Legg to help support Steve's amazing 'It's a boy project'.
